Description
Classic buttery cookies shaped with a cookie press, perfect for festive treats and gift-giving.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- Optional: colored sugar or sprinkles for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and extracts and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and salt until just combined.
- Fill cookie press with dough and press shapes onto baking sheets.
- Decorate with colored sugar or sprinkles if desired.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on racks.
Notes
Chill dough if too soft for pressing. Use different cookie press discs for variety. Store airtight to keep crisp.
