Description

Delicious sliders combining crispy bacon, fresh vegetables, and marinated chicken, all nestled between soft buns, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. chicken tenders
  • 1 pack Hawaiian slider buns
  • Mayonnaise, to taste
  • Sweet Baby Ray’s Golden Mustard
  • 8 strips bacon, cooked crisp
  • Colby Jack cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 head lettuce
  • 1/2 small red onion, sliced thin
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced thin
  • 4-5 tablespoons oil for marinade and cooking chicken
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 stick butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: Place the tenders in a zip-top bag or bowl. Add several tablespoons of blackened seasoning and oil, then mix thoroughly.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for about 3 minutes on each side.
  3. Prepare the butter topping: Combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds until melted.
  4. Toast the buns: Slice the slider buns horizontally if needed and toast under the broiler until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the sliders: Spread mayo on bottom buns, layer with chicken, honey mustard, and cheese.
  6. Top with butter mixture: Spread over the top buns, then broil again for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  7. Add the finishing touches: Top with bacon, tomatoes, red onion, lettuce, and more honey mustard. Place the top buns on, slice into sliders, and serve.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken tenders with grilled tofu or plant-based chicken alternatives. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
