Description

These mummy brownies are a playful way to bring Halloween fun into your kitchen. Simple to decorate and delicious to eat, they’re the perfect fall treat for parties, contests, or cozy nights at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the package, usually eggs, oil, water)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or white candy melts
  • Tube of black gel icing
  • Mini candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the brownie mix package directions. Prepare the batter.
  2. Pour the mixture into a greased or parchment-lined pan and bake as instructed. Allow brownies to cool completely.
  3. Cut cooled brownies into even rectangles.
  4. Melt white chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Drizzle or pipe the melted chocolate in random crisscross lines to resemble mummy bandages.
  6. While chocolate is still soft, place two mini candy eyes on each brownie. Use black gel icing to add tiny pupils if desired.
  7. Let chocolate set, then serve and enjoy.

Notes

Use parchment paper for easy removal and cleaner brownie edges. Swap white chocolate with vanilla frosting if you prefer a softer texture. Make ahead: Bake the brownies a day in advance, then decorate before serving.
