Description

Bringing a taste of the Philippines with these flavorful marinated chicken skewers, perfect for gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into cubes)
  • ¾ tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon banana ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch ginger (minced)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Pompeian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken cubes with soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, banana ketchup, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to coat the chicken well.
  3. Thread the chicken: Skewer several pieces of marinated chicken onto each bamboo stick, ensuring they’re evenly spaced.
  4. Grill the skewers: Preheat your outdoor grill on medium-high heat. Brush Pompeian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil onto the chicken while grilling. Cook the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until both sides are slightly charred and cooked through.
  5. Serve immediately: Enjoy the skewers fresh off the grill for the best flavor!

Notes

For an even richer flavor, marinate for up to 2 hours or overnight if possible.
