Description
These Crack Burgers are juicy, cheesy, smoky, and loaded with ranch flavor, making them perfect for backyard barbecues or weeknight indulgence.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 3 tbsp ranch dressing mix
- 8 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- 6 brioche buns
- Lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Pickles
- Mustard
- Mayonnaise
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sour cream, ranch mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
- Divide into 6 equal portions and shape into patties. Press a small dimple in the center of each to prevent puffing.
- Preheat grill, grill pan, or skillet to medium heat. Cook patties to desired doneness: Medium-rare: 130–135°F; Medium: 140–145°F; Well-done: 160°F.
- In the final minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar and let it melt.
- Place patties on brioche buns and add lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, and mayo—or your favorite toppings. Serve hot!
Notes
Keep patties cold until just before cooking to help them hold their shape. Swap in pepper jack or Swiss for a flavor twist. Avoid pressing down while cooking—this squeezes out the juices.
