Description
A simple, flavorful butter that enhances steak and works well with meats, seafood, and vegetables.
Ingredients
- 100g (7 tbsp) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large garlic clove, finely minced (1 tsp)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili flakes (or red pepper flakes)
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt (adjust for table salt)
Instructions
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until lightly golden.
- Add the remaining softened butter to a mixing bowl and pour in the sautéed garlic and butter mixture along with mustard, paprika, chili flakes, and salt.
- Stir everything until the ingredients are evenly combined.
- Use softened Cowboy Butter to dollop on steak, melt it for dipping, or refrigerate it rolled into a log for easy use.
Notes
Leftovers will last up to 5 days in the fridge or 3 months in the freezer. Adjust chili flakes for desired spiciness.
