Description

A simple, flavorful butter that enhances steak and works well with meats, seafood, and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 100g (7 tbsp) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large garlic clove, finely minced (1 tsp)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (or red pepper flakes)
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt (adjust for table salt)

Instructions

  1. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until lightly golden.
  2. Add the remaining softened butter to a mixing bowl and pour in the sautéed garlic and butter mixture along with mustard, paprika, chili flakes, and salt.
  3. Stir everything until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  4. Use softened Cowboy Butter to dollop on steak, melt it for dipping, or refrigerate it rolled into a log for easy use.

Notes

Leftovers will last up to 5 days in the fridge or 3 months in the freezer. Adjust chili flakes for desired spiciness.
