Description

Indulgent chicken dish with crispy, buttery, garlicky flavors, served in a creamy garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (for the sauce)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp parsley (chopped, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip into the beaten eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Brown the chicken on both sides for 4-5 minutes until golden and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add chicken broth and lemon juice to deglaze the pan.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese, letting the sauce simmer until it thickens.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, soaking it in the garlic butter sauce for a couple of minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with your choice of sides.

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan for better melting and enhanced flavor. Pounding the chicken ensures even cooking.
