Description
Indulgent chicken dish with crispy, buttery, garlicky flavors, served in a creamy garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (for the sauce)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Dredge the chicken in flour, dip into the beaten eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Brown the chicken on both sides for 4-5 minutes until golden and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add chicken broth and lemon juice to deglaze the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese, letting the sauce simmer until it thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, soaking it in the garlic butter sauce for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for better melting and enhanced flavor. Pounding the chicken ensures even cooking.
