Description
No-bake and eerily realistic, these Witches Fingers made with pretzel rods, candy melts, and almonds are a spooky, fun Halloween treat.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup black frosting
- 24 blanched almonds
- 12 large pretzel rods
- 12 oz bright green candy melts
- 2–5 tbsp refined coconut oil (or shortening)
Instructions
- Brush or dip the almonds in black frosting. Place them on a baking sheet to dry.
- Combine green candy melts and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted.
- Break pretzel rods in half if necessary. Dip each pretzel rod in the melted candy melts, ensuring it’s coated well, and place them on a second baking sheet.
- While the candy melts are still soft, press a black almond onto the tip of each dipped pretzel rod.
- Use a toothpick to gently create finger-like knuckle lines in the candy coating.
- Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes or until the candy melts have hardened.
Notes
Add more coconut oil if the melts are too thick for dipping. Use black candy melts to dip the almonds instead of frosting for a smoother finish. Prepare the almonds and candy melts ahead of time to make assembly faster.
