Description
Master the art of cooking tender and flavorful BBQ baby back ribs, perfect for any summer gathering.
Ingredients
- 3-4 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Prepare the ribs: Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better texture.
- Make the rub: In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Apply the rub: Generously coat the ribs with the dry rub. Make sure to get it into all the crevices.
- Marinate: Let the ribs sit for at least an hour, or overnight for maximum flavor.
- Cook low and slow: Place the ribs on the grill (indirect heat) or in the oven. Cook for about 3 hours, flipping occasionally.
- Add sauce: In the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush your BBQ sauce over the ribs, letting it caramelize and create a beautiful glaze.
- Check for doneness: The ribs should be tender and pull away from the bone easily.
- Rest and serve: Allow the ribs to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
For extra tenderness, consider adding apple cider vinegar during cooking. Let ribs rest after cooking for juicy meat.
