Description

Master the art of cooking tender and flavorful BBQ baby back ribs, perfect for any summer gathering.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Prepare the ribs: Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better texture.
  3. Make the rub: In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Apply the rub: Generously coat the ribs with the dry rub. Make sure to get it into all the crevices.
  5. Marinate: Let the ribs sit for at least an hour, or overnight for maximum flavor.
  6. Cook low and slow: Place the ribs on the grill (indirect heat) or in the oven. Cook for about 3 hours, flipping occasionally.
  7. Add sauce: In the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush your BBQ sauce over the ribs, letting it caramelize and create a beautiful glaze.
  8. Check for doneness: The ribs should be tender and pull away from the bone easily.
  9. Rest and serve: Allow the ribs to rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For extra tenderness, consider adding apple cider vinegar during cooking. Let ribs rest after cooking for juicy meat.
