Description
A warm, flaky pastry base topped with fresh tomatoes and a tangy mustard layer, perfect for family dinners or elegant gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 Beefsteak tomato
- 2 round tomatoes
- 2 medium-size salad cherry tomatoes
- 30g grated parmesan cheese
- 2-3 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry and fit it into a tart pan.
- Spread a layer of Dijon mustard evenly over the base of the pastry.
- Slice the tomatoes thinly, then arrange them in a decorative pattern on top of the mustard.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese generously over the layered tomatoes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, and then serve warm.
Notes
Serve alongside a fresh green salad or with herbed yogurt for added flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
