Description

A warm, flaky pastry base topped with fresh tomatoes and a tangy mustard layer, perfect for family dinners or elegant gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 Beefsteak tomato
  • 2 round tomatoes
  • 2 medium-size salad cherry tomatoes
  • 30g grated parmesan cheese
  • 2-3 tbsp Dijon mustard


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and fit it into a tart pan.
  3. Spread a layer of Dijon mustard evenly over the base of the pastry.
  4. Slice the tomatoes thinly, then arrange them in a decorative pattern on top of the mustard.
  5. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese generously over the layered tomatoes.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
  7. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, and then serve warm.

Notes

Serve alongside a fresh green salad or with herbed yogurt for added flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
