Ingredients

  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuits (homestyle or buttermilk)
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or plant-based)
  • 2 cups of milk (whole or low-fat)
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  3. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage, stirring for about a minute to create a roux.
  5. Add the milk gradually, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Cut the biscuits into quarters and spread them evenly in the baking dish.

Notes
