Description

These spooky Oreo brownies are fudgy, chocolatey, and filled with festive Halloween Oreos. Perfect for parties, trick-or-treat night, or cozy fall baking.


Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup butter
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ⅔ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cold eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 15 Oreos (plus 5 extra for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter, oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in 30-second intervals, stirring between each. Heat an additional minute and whisk well until sugars dissolve.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla until batter thickens slightly.
  4. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt just until combined—avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Layer 15 whole Oreos over the batter. Cover with remaining brownie batter and smooth the top.
  7. Sprinkle 5 crushed Oreos on top for extra crunch.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely before slicing into squares for clean, crinkly tops.

Notes

For extra indulgence, mix ⅓ cup chocolate chips into the batter. Let brownies cool at least 6–8 hours before slicing for perfect squares. Swap in seasonal Oreos (red, green, or golden) to enjoy year-round.
