Description
These spooky Oreo brownies are fudgy, chocolatey, and filled with festive Halloween Oreos. Perfect for parties, trick-or-treat night, or cozy fall baking.
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup butter
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup cocoa powder
- 2 cold eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 15 Oreos (plus 5 extra for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter, oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in 30-second intervals, stirring between each. Heat an additional minute and whisk well until sugars dissolve.
- Whisk in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla until batter thickens slightly.
- Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt just until combined—avoid overmixing.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Layer 15 whole Oreos over the batter. Cover with remaining brownie batter and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle 5 crushed Oreos on top for extra crunch.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely before slicing into squares for clean, crinkly tops.
Notes
For extra indulgence, mix ⅓ cup chocolate chips into the batter. Let brownies cool at least 6–8 hours before slicing for perfect squares. Swap in seasonal Oreos (red, green, or golden) to enjoy year-round.
