Description

Comforting pan-seared chicken breasts topped with a creamy garlic sauce and melted Jack cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Jack cheese
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and rub with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic, and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour chicken broth into the skillet and scrape the bottom to deglaze.
  5. Stir in sour cream until the sauce is smooth; let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer chicken to a baking dish, spoon sauce over the top, and sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with green onions and paprika before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine after sautéing the garlic. Serve with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
