Description

A vibrant recipe that infuses shrimp with zesty flavors, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (350g) shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons tequila
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro leaves (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Cook the seasoned shrimp until slightly charred, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Add the tequila and toss the shrimp, allowing the alcohol to cook off.
  6. Finish with lime juice, stirring to combine.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes

Serve with Mexican rice or wrap in tortillas for taco night. Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor.
