Description

A cozy, budget-friendly Tater Tot Casserole that is kid-approved and made with pantry staples.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (15 oz) can green beans, drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups frozen tater tots
  • Salt & pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8–9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef and drain fat.
  3. Add onions and cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  5. Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  6. Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  7. Layer in the following order: cream of mushroom soup, green beans, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Arrange tater tots evenly on top.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes until tots are crisp and cheese is melted.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a twist, you can try using cream of chicken or bacon soup, or ground turkey. This casserole is great for potlucks and can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
