Description
A cozy, budget-friendly Tater Tot Casserole that is kid-approved and made with pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- ½ onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (15 oz) can green beans, drained
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8–9 inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef and drain fat.
- Add onions and cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Layer in the following order: cream of mushroom soup, green beans, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Arrange tater tots evenly on top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until tots are crisp and cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For a twist, you can try using cream of chicken or bacon soup, or ground turkey. This casserole is great for potlucks and can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
