Description
A refreshing and tangy pasta salad with mozzarella, tomatoes, olives, and a zesty Italian dressing, perfect for potlucks and picnics.
Ingredients
- 8 oz macaroni (any short pasta works)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup mozzarella balls
- 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
- 1/4 cup red onion, diced
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta. Boil the macaroni according to package directions until al dente.
- Drain and cool. Drain well and let the pasta cool to room temperature.
- Build the salad base. In a large bowl, combine macaroni, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, olives, and red onion.
- Dress it. Pour the Italian dressing over the salad and toss until everything is evenly coated.
- Add basil + season. Stir in chopped basil and taste, adding salt and pepper as needed.
- Chill. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For the freshest flavor, add basil just before serving. Can be made ahead of time.
