A quick and satisfying Taco Salad featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh veggies, and crunchy Doritos, topped with sweet Catalina dressing.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 bag of Doritos (crushed)
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce (chopped)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup Catalina dressing
- 1/2 cup green onions (sliced)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the ground beef until it’s evenly browned, then drain the excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning according to package instructions, allowing the beef to absorb all the flavor.
- In a large bowl, toss together the chopped lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, and seasoned beef mixture for a fresh base.
- Sprinkle the crushed Doritos, shredded cheese, and sliced green onions on top for added texture and flavor.
- Drizzle the Catalina dressing generously over the salad and gently toss everything to combine before serving.
Notes
You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or a plant-based meat alternative for a lighter or vegetarian dish. For leftovers, keep the dressing separate to avoid sogginess.
