Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup corn, canned or frozen
- 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 avocado, diced
- Sour cream (for topping)
- Salsa (for topping)
- Crispy tortilla salad shells (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) if you are making crispy tortilla bowls.
- Cook the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add seasoning: Incorporate taco seasoning and water as outlined on the package. Let it simmer for a few minutes to bring out the flavors.
- Mix the salad: In a large bowl, toss together chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, corn, black beans, and the seasoned meat.
