Description

A comforting and flavorful dish combining tender chicken with savory garlic sauce and noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes (if desired). Mix well.
  2. Coat chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly covered.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken to the skillet and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened and sticky.
  6. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. Add cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing well to coat.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot!

Notes

You can substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp. For enhanced flavor, marinate chicken in the sauce for 15-30 minutes before cooking.
