A comforting and flavorful dish combining tender chicken with savory garlic sauce and noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes (if desired). Mix well.
- Coat chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly covered.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken to the skillet and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened and sticky.
- Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Add cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing well to coat.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot!
Notes
You can substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp. For enhanced flavor, marinate chicken in the sauce for 15-30 minutes before cooking.
