Description

Transform classic Oreo cookies into festive Halloween treats with melted chocolate and gooey marshmallow webs.

Ingredients

  • 12 Oreo cookies (or any sandwich cookie)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for coating)
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows (for the webs)
  • Halloween sprinkles or candy eyes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate: Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Coat the Oreos: Dip each Oreo into the melted chocolate, covering both sides. Lay them on a parchment-lined tray.
  3. Make the spider webs: Place mini marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 10–15 seconds until soft. Use a fork or your fingers to stretch the marshmallow strands and drape them over the cookies, creating a web effect.
  4. Add decorations: While the marshmallow is still sticky, press on candy eyes or sprinkles for extra Halloween flair.
  5. Let them set: Allow cookies to sit at room temperature until the chocolate hardens.

Notes

Mess-free webs: Lightly coat your fingers with cooking spray before stretching the marshmallows to keep them from sticking. Try white chocolate instead of dark for a ghostly twist. These cookies can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
