Description

A delightful twist on traditional sushi, these layered Spicy Shrimp Sushi Stacks combine fresh ingredients with a zesty mayo sauce, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a quick weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha or your favorite spicy sauce
  • soy sauce, for serving
  • nori (seaweed) sheets, optional


Instructions

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions. Once done, set aside to cool.
  2. Combine mayonnaise and sriracha in a mixing bowl for a zesty mayo sauce.
  3. Slice cucumbers and avocado thinly.
  4. Take a scoop of sushi rice and layer it at the bottom of a bowl.
  5. Add a layer of sliced cucumbers, followed by the cooked shrimp, avocado, and finally drizzle generously with the zesty mayo sauce.
  6. Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used.
  7. Serve your sushi stacks with soy sauce for dipping and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute cooked shrimp with tofu or crab.
