Description

Juicy turkey burgers are elevated with melty pepper jack cheese and fresh jalapeños for a bold and smoky flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/2 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 12 jalapeño peppers, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Burger buns
  • Toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, extra jalapeños, avocado, etc.)


Instructions

  1. Mix the ground turkey with pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties about 3/4-inch thick.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it.
  4. Cook the patties for 5–6 minutes per side, flipping until browned and fully cooked through.
  5. Toast the burger buns cut-side down for 30–60 seconds until golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers with patties and your favorite toppings, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, add chipotle peppers or cayenne. Use a thermometer to ensure turkey reaches 165°F.
