A hassle-free recipe for flavorful chicken tacos prepared in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • Taco shells
  • Guacamole (store-bought or homemade)
  • Shredded cabbage (or your favorite toppings)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  3. Pour the salsa over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or on high for 180-240 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the juices in the crockpot.
  6. Serve in taco shells and top with guacamole and shredded cabbage.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight in seasoning and salsa. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
