Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Coat a baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a bowl, mix sour cream, grated Parmesan, cornstarch, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Arrange chicken in the dish and top with mozzarella slices.
- Spoon the sauce over the chicken, covering completely, and sprinkle with additional Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until chicken is cooked through and sauce is bubbling.
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor. This dish can be prepared in advance and refrigerated before baking.
