Description

Irresistible smoked beef tacos infused with sweet and tangy barbecue sauce, perfect for gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • Chuck roast (about 3-4 pounds)
  • SBR BBQ Kickin’ Barbecue Hot Sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic blend
  • Barbecue rub (your favorite)
  • Butter (2 tablespoons)
  • Cherry cola (1 can)
  • Sweet Baby Ray’s Original BBQ Sauce (1 cup)
  • Taco shells or tortillas
  • Toppings (such as diced onions, fresh cilantro, lime wedges, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Cube the chuck roast into 1-inch pieces for easy smoking.
  2. Apply SBR BBQ Kickin’ Barbecue Hot Sauce as a binder on the meat.
  3. Generously season with salt, pepper, garlic blend, and your favorite BBQ rub.
  4. Preheat your smoker to 275°F and place the seasoned beef on the grates.
  5. Smoke the meat for about 3 hours, or until a nice bark forms on the outside.
  6. Carefully remove the roast and transfer it into a foil pan. Add butter, cherry cola, and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce.
  7. Cover the pan and return it to the smoker, cooking further until the meat is tender (another hour or so).
  8. Shred the beef and serve it in taco shells or tortillas with your choice of toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with toppings like pickled jalapeños and avocado slices. Pair with sides like coleslaw or baked beans.
