Description

Tender and flavorful baby back ribs slow-cooked to perfection, then finished under the broiler for a delicious caramelized glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs (about 34 lbs total)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (use your favorite; thicker sauces caramelize better)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane and cut racks to fit the slow cooker.
  2. Season the ribs with spices (a simple dry rub).
  3. Layer ribs in the slow cooker and coat with BBQ sauce.
  4. Cook low and slow until tender (about 360 minutes).
  5. Optional: Broil briefly for a sticky, caramelized finish.
  6. Serve and enjoy with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, let seasoned ribs rest in the fridge for 1–2 hours or overnight before cooking.
