Description

A cheesy and saucy casserole that captures the classic flavors of Sloppy Joes, topped with biscuits and ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) Sloppy Joe sauce
  • ½ cup chopped dill pickle slices
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits, cut into 6 pieces
  • 8 oz shredded Colby Jack or cheddar cheese
  • Optional: Nonstick spray for baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess grease and return to the pan.
  3. Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce and chopped pickles until evenly coated.
  4. Cut each biscuit into six pieces and add them to the meat mixture with 1 cup of shredded cheese. Stir gently to coat.
  5. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray and spread the mixture evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 28–30 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed and golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly, then serve with optional toppings like ketchup or mustard.

Notes

For added texture, consider sprinkling crushed onions or breadcrumbs on top before baking.
