Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lime wedges for serving


Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp: In a bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Sauté the shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until they are opaque and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  3. Warm the tortillas: In the same skillet, lightly toast the tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they are warm and pliable.
  4. Assemble the tacos: On each tortilla, place a layer of shredded cabbage, a few shrimp, avocado slices, and garnish with cilantro.
