Description

A flavorful and easy-to-prepare dish featuring juicy shrimp and spicy sausage, perfect for grilling season and any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs of Anchored Shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 3 Spicy Sausage Links (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp of Cajun Seasoning
  • Finely Chopped Parsley (for garnish)
  • 2 oz of Bourbon or Whiskey
  • 3 tbsp of Butter
  • 1.5 tbsp of Honey

Instructions

  1. Combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with Cajun seasoning in a bowl until well-coated.
  2. Take a slice of sausage and place it inside the curve of the shrimp, then thread it onto a skewer.
  3. Set the skewers aside while preparing the grill.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F).
  5. Add a basting skillet on direct heat and simmer the bourbon for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Reduce the bourbon and stir in the remaining honey glaze ingredients on a lower heat area of the grill.
  7. Grill the shrimp skewers for about 1-2 minutes on each side, basting with honey glaze towards the end.
  8. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot!

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the shrimp for 30 minutes before skewering. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
