Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh asparagus
- 2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
- Wash the asparagus and trim off the woody ends.
- Pat the asparagus dry with paper towels.
- Spread it out in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
- Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper, tossing to coat evenly.
- Roast the asparagus for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until it’s tender and lightly browned.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
You can replace olive oil with melted butter, and add garlic powder for a delicious seasoning twist. For serving ideas, drizzle with balsamic reduction or top with Parmesan cheese.
