Description

A delightful burger that combines sweet pineapple and savory teriyaki sauce with juicy grilled chicken, all served on a soft bun.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup pineapple, crushed or sliced
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 4 Dave’s Killer Bread 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Buns
  • 1/2 cup lettuce
  • 1/4 cup red onion, sliced
  • Olive oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken with teriyaki sauce and crushed pineapple. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
  4. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. Briefly toast the buns on the grill until golden.
  6. On each bun, layer lettuce, a slice of red onion, and the grilled chicken patty.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite sides!

Notes

For the best results, don’t overmix the chicken and pineapple. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is safe to eat.
