Description
The combination of a classic Philly cheesesteak and a succulent burger, topped with melted provolone cheese, sautéed onions, and green peppers.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (preferably Angus)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup sautéed onions
- 1/2 cup sautéed green bell peppers
- 4 burger buns
- Optional toppings: mayonnaise, ketchup, lettuce
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
- Shape the ground beef into 4 equal patties, seasoning each with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then carefully flip them.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty and allow it to melt as the burgers cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium doneness.
- Pile sautéed onions and green peppers on top of each patty just before finishing.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the buns and adding your choice of optional toppings.
- Serve hot and relish every bite at your next BBQ!
Notes
Feel free to customize toppings. For a robust flavor, mix Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef.
