Description

The combination of a classic Philly cheesesteak and a succulent burger, topped with melted provolone cheese, sautéed onions, and green peppers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (preferably Angus)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup sautéed onions
  • 1/2 cup sautéed green bell peppers
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: mayonnaise, ketchup, lettuce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Shape the ground beef into 4 equal patties, seasoning each with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then carefully flip them.
  4. Place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty and allow it to melt as the burgers cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium doneness.
  5. Pile sautéed onions and green peppers on top of each patty just before finishing.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the buns and adding your choice of optional toppings.
  8. Serve hot and relish every bite at your next BBQ!

Notes

Feel free to customize toppings. For a robust flavor, mix Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef.
