Ingredients
- 3 pounds bone-in beef short ribs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- ⅓ cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Start by rinsing the beef ribs under cold water, then drying them thoroughly with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix sea salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, oregano, and brown sugar to create a seasoning blend.
- Brush the ribs with olive oil and rub the mixed spices generously over the meat.
- Place the seasoned ribs into a plastic bag, seal it, and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Line a baking pan with aluminum foil and arrange the marinated ribs in a single layer.
- Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil and bake for 3½ to 4 hours.
- After baking, generously brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and broil for 3-4 minutes for a crispy finish.
Notes
To enhance flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar or Worcestershire sauce to the marinade. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
