A simple yet flavorful chicken marinade that ensures juicy, caramelized chicken suitable for grilling or pan-searing.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound chicken (breasts, thighs, tenders)
Instructions
- Whisk the marinade in a bowl until well combined.
- Coat the chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish with the marinade.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 8 hours.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the chicken until fully cooked, about 6–7 minutes per side.
- Rest the chicken for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Don’t over-marinate the chicken, and consider using a separate batch of marinade for drizzling after cooking.
