A delightful homemade Peach BBQ Sauce that’s sweet and tangy, perfect for enhancing grilled dishes.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger (or 1 tablespoon ground ginger)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 cup peach preserves
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons brown mustard
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 3 minutes while stirring frequently.
- Whisk in the orange juice, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, brown mustard, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and chili flakes.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, constantly whisking.
- Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often and scraping the sides and bottom of the pan.
- Remove from heat and cool slightly before transferring to a storage container.
Notes
For extra kick, add more chili flakes or a splash of hot sauce. Use ripe peaches for best results.
