Description

A delightful homemade Peach BBQ Sauce that’s sweet and tangy, perfect for enhancing grilled dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger (or 1 tablespoon ground ginger)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup peach preserves
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons brown mustard
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 3 minutes while stirring frequently.
  2. Whisk in the orange juice, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, brown mustard, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and chili flakes.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, constantly whisking.
  4. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often and scraping the sides and bottom of the pan.
  5. Remove from heat and cool slightly before transferring to a storage container.

Notes

For extra kick, add more chili flakes or a splash of hot sauce. Use ripe peaches for best results.
