Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus (ends trimmed)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and position the rack in the middle.
- Arrange the asparagus on a baking sheet (line it with foil or parchment paper for easy clean-up if desired).
- Drizzle the olive oil and lemon juice over the asparagus.
- Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the asparagus with your hands to ensure everything is well-coated.
- Spread the asparagus into an even layer and sprinkle parmesan over the top if using.
- Bake, uncovered, for 12-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is cooked to your liking. Start checking for doneness around the 10-minute mark for thin spears.
