A quick and easy one-pan meal that brings classic taco flavors to your dinner table with minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sour cream, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, avocado
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
- Brown the ground beef until browned and no longer pink, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and stir for 30 seconds.
- Add the salsa and black beans, stirring until evenly coated.
- Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Melt the cheese by sprinkling it over the mixture and covering the skillet for 1–2 minutes.
- Serve hot with desired toppings.
Notes
Use a large skillet for better browning. Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings and tortillas.
