Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (for sprinkling on top)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt until well mixed.
- Pour in the melted butter, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly across the surface.
- Finish it off by sprinkling a light layer of sea salt atop.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, checking for a golden-brown edge.
- Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars for serving.
Notes
For a healthier twist, substitute brown sugar with coconut sugar or use dairy-free butter for a vegan option.
