Description

Delicious and chewy oatmeal chocolate chip bars that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (for sprinkling on top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt until well mixed.
  3. Pour in the melted butter, stirring until fully incorporated.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly across the surface.
  6. Finish it off by sprinkling a light layer of sea salt atop.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, checking for a golden-brown edge.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars for serving.

Notes

For a healthier twist, substitute brown sugar with coconut sugar or use dairy-free butter for a vegan option.
