Description

A juicy Mushroom Swiss Burger with savory sautéed mushrooms and melting Swiss cheese, perfect for grilling season.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp steak seasoning
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion

Instructions

  1. Mix together the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Shape the mixture into burger patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  4. Place Swiss cheese slices on the patties in the last minute of cooking to melt.
  5. Toast the burger buns until they are lightly golden.
  6. Assemble your burgers by placing the patty on a bun, topping it with sautéed mushrooms, and adding any additional toppings you desire.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or black beans for a vegetarian twist.
