Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Cooking spray or oil for the pan


Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Combine wet ingredients: In a second bowl, whisk the mashed banana with the milk, egg, and melted butter until well blended.
  3. Make the batter: Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined.
  4. Heat the skillet: Warm a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease.
  5. Cook the bites: Drop small spoonfuls of batter onto the skillet, leaving space to flip.
  6. Flip at the right time: Cook until you see bubbles on top and the edges look set, about 1–2 minutes, then flip and cook until golden.
  7. Serve warm: Repeat with remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
