A creamy, flavorful pasta dish with succulent shrimp, perfect for date nights or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, then cook until pink and cooked through—about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp and garlic from the skillet, setting them aside.
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan until it’s melted and the sauce starts to thicken.
- Toss the cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet; mix well and heat through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley just before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, serve with a crisp green salad or garlic bread. Plate beautifully for a special presentation.
