Description

Bright, tangy, and comfortingly creamy, Lemon Pepper Chicken is a quick skillet meal that transforms plain chicken breasts with a zesty sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless) — about 1 to 1¼ lbs total
  • 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth (low-sodium preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Flatten or even the chicken breasts for uniform cooking, then season with lemon pepper and salt.
  2. Sear the breasts in hot oil until golden on both sides.
  3. Remove the chicken and deglaze the pan with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and lemon juice; simmer until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan to heat through and coat with sauce.
  6. Rest briefly, garnish, and serve.

Notes

If breasts are very large or uneven, halve horizontally or pound to about ¾-inch thickness for even cooking.
