Description

This juicy steak with a creamy garlic sauce is a delicious and luxurious meal perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter, divided
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Take the steaks out of the fridge for about 30 minutes before cooking. Pat them dry and season generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat a heavy skillet (preferably cast iron) over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and butter. Once the butter is sizzling, carefully add the steaks. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare or adjust to your preferred doneness.
  3. Once the steaks are done, transfer them to a plate and cover loosely with foil. Let them rest while you prepare the sauce.
  4. In the same skillet, add more butter and garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds, then add beef broth and scrape up any browned bits. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens.
  5. Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let them sit for a minute or two, then serve with extra sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Resting the steak allows the juices to redistribute. Use fresh garlic for a stronger flavor.
