Description

A crispy shrimp dish drizzled with hot honey, combining sweet and spicy flavors for a delicious experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for more heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • ¼ cup hot honey (or adjust for spice level)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for about 30 minutes to enhance tenderness.
  2. Mix the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until hot, but not smoking.
  4. Dredge each shrimp in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
  5. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and fully cooked—this should take about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove the shrimp and let them drain on paper towels.
  7. Drizzle with hot honey and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve hot and crispy for the best taste. Can be served as an appetizer or main dish.
