Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for more heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- ¼ cup hot honey (or adjust for spice level)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for about 30 minutes to enhance tenderness.
- Mix the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until hot, but not smoking.
- Dredge each shrimp in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
