Description

A quick and delicious Honey Garlic Salmon dish that combines the earthy flavors of honey and garlic with rich salmon, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 2 skinless salmon fillets (approx. 6 oz each)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Finely sliced chives or shallots/scallions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Remove the salmon from the fridge 20 minutes prior to cooking for even cooking.
  2. Pat the fillets dry with a paper towel and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and minced garlic in a small bowl until well combined.
  4. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Place the salmon fillets in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until the first side is golden brown.
  6. Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until golden on the other side.
  7. Pour the sauce over the salmon and cook for 1 minute, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  8. Serve the salmon on plates, drizzling with remaining sauce and garnishing with sesame seeds and chives or shallots, if desired.

Notes

You can substitute salmon with any firm fish or tofu for a plant-based option. Adjust honey and vinegar according to taste.
