Description

A delightful combination of sweet honey garlic sauce and savory lean ground beef with crisp broccoli, served over rice. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chopped white onion (about 1 medium onion)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (93% lean recommended)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 cup honey garlic sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 cups cooked rice, for serving
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Add olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped onion. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
  2. Add the lean ground beef to the pan. Break it apart with a spatula and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in the chopped broccoli florets and sauté for another 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  4. Pour in the honey garlic sauce and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  5. Serve the mixture over bowls of cooked rice.

Notes

Adjust the amount of sauce to your taste. Consider doubling the recipe for meal prep.
