Description
Quick and easy honey garlic chicken breast with a golden-seared crust and sweet-savory sauce that impresses without the fuss.
Ingredients
- 500g (1 lb) boneless, skinless chicken breast
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour (or cornstarch for gluten-free)
- 3½ tablespoons unsalted butter (or 2½ tablespoons olive oil)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ⅓ cup honey
Instructions
- Cut each chicken breast in half horizontally to create four thinner cutlets. Season with salt and pepper.
- Coat each chicken piece in flour, shaking off excess.
- Melt most of the butter in a skillet over high heat. Sear chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Reduce heat, add minced garlic and reserved butter, and cook until fragrant.
- Add vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Simmer for 1 minute until sauce thickens.
- Coat chicken in sauce and adjust consistency with water if necessary. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Serve immediately, drizzling sauce over chicken.
Notes
For extra juicy chicken, consider brining the breasts for 2-4 hours before cooking.
