Description

A rich and velvety mushroom cream sauce that transforms any dish into a gourmet experience.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs (dried)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until softened, roughly 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, Italian herbs, and lemon juice.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Simmer for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens to your liking.
  8. Serve over your favorite dish, such as mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or use vegetable broth for a non-alcoholic option.
