A vibrant and flavorful chimichurri sauce made with fresh herbs, garlic, and olive oil, perfect for grilled meats and vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine the base. In a medium bowl, add the chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Stir to evenly distribute the garlic and pepper flakes.
- Add the liquids gradually. While whisking, slowly drizzle in the olive oil, then whisk in the red wine vinegar.
- Season carefully. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
- Let it rest (recommended). Let the chimichurri sit for 10–15 minutes before serving.
- Serve. Spoon over grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or use as a zesty finishing sauce.
Notes
