Description

Delight in a nutritious dessert with these easy-to-make chocolate-covered strawberry popsicles, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or melting chocolate
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the green tops. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
  2. Blend the yogurt: In a mixing bowl, add the Greek yogurt. If desired, sweeten with honey or maple syrup and stir until well combined.
  3. Assemble the popsicles: Insert a wooden stick into each strawberry. Dip them first into the yogurt mixture, coating them generously.
  4. Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  5. Dip in chocolate: Once the strawberries are coated with yogurt, dip them into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
  6. Add toppings: If you prefer, roll or sprinkle some crushed nuts, coconut, or your favorite toppings while the chocolate is still warm.
  7. Freeze: Place the prepared strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 120 minutes or until firm.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor and sweetness. Store leftover popsicles in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.
